beach day similes

 WALT. use similes to make our writing interesting.

The sand was as soft as a big fluffy pillow that you sleep on.
The water was as cold as a giant block of ice.
The wave were as big as mountains stacked on each other.

reflection: I like the similes i did and i also like what picture i pick. I wish i was a bit faster.

WALT:  Use adjectives to describe our personality. 

first we had to take a picture the remove the background at remove background .bg. I then put the picture on google drawing then looked for funky letters for my name. 

then i use a thesaurus to find adjectives for the letters of my name. 

I like choosing the background. It was easy finding the funky letters.

RWC PUZZLE

WALT find specific information
WALT put information into our own words
WALT increase our knowledge of the Rugby World Cup

We created this because the World Cup was on.
We created this by answering questions which we found the information for on our class site.  We put the answers onto puzzle pieces, coloured them in, cut them out and then glued them onto black paper to make a rugby ball shaped puzzle 



Next time I think I wanna go faster at making this.  I think I did good colouring it in and I think I did good at writing all the stuff.

finding the area of a shape

WALT find the area of a shape in square centimeters.

We explored shapes by covering them with square centimeter cubes and counting how many cubes it took to cover the shape.

We then drew shapes on grid paper and counted how many squares our shapes covered.




next time i want to go faster and i think i did good on taking the photo and i did good on  listening.

WALT retell fairy tales in Te Reo Maori
WALT make a movie using iMovie

We created this to help celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori (Maori Language Week)
We created this by taking a video of the little puppets moving.  Then we took off any background noise and recorded our voices saying the Te Reo Maori for the fairy tale. We then added titles to show the English translation and who made the video.

Reflection: I think we did good at  videoing it and moving the puppets around. next time we could go a bit faster
