Refection- I really like making this fun and silly story with my friend. It was only meant to take 15 minutes but it ended up taking us 2 days, It was stilly really fun to make!

density

LI:Observe how an egg reacts in fresh vs salt water to understand the concept of density.

equipment:

salt-

water-

jar-

spoon-

first we gather our equipment. After that we put the egg in the jar of fresh water. (the egg will sink to the bottom of the jar) next we added 175G of salt to the jar of water and mixed it around. after it is mixed the egg with float.The egg floated in salt water because it has more density than fresh tap water.

I learnt that salt water has more density than fresh water.

LI: identify our prior knowledge about science.

science is another way of seeing the world. there  are different types of science like chemistry, geology,  biology and much more.

I would love to learn how to make elephant tooth paste.

Mackenzie's Te Reo maori poem

reflection- I found it hard to pronounce some of the words. it was fun saying my poem. 
It was interesting learning new maori words.

I found it hard to find the maori words for my poem. It was fun writing the English poem.

Amber and Mackenzie's poetry

  Reflection-  We had to record it a few times to get a good one. ( actually we had to take 1000 takes to get the perfect one) but I still enjoyed recording it with Amber. The poetry was fun to make with amber!

I like writing the poems with Amber. I found it easy to make the cinquain poems. I found it quite hard to write the haiku poems but I still enjoyed making the poems. I found it interesting writing the haiku poem because I have never write a haiku poem.

Reflection-  I like drawing our character it was really fun drawing her outfit and hair. I found it quite hard writing about what others think about her. something I can improve on is using more interesting words in my writing.

Mackenzie and Amber narrative script

Olympic writing

WALT-

Write to inform our audience about either an athlete or an sport at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics . Follow the information report structure.

Reflection-  I had to write three paragraph about artistic gymnastic. The first paragraph was about how to win and how to play. The second one was about the history of artistic gymnastic sport. The last paragraph is about a famous player of your sports and how many medals they have.

Maths art

 WALT- Enlarge an image using a scale of 1:2.5















Reflection- We started off with a small piece of paper with what we were going to draw on it. Then we drew a 1 Centimetre grid over our picture. After we drew our grid we had to enlarge it on a 2.5 Centimetre paper. When we finished enlarging our picture we coloured it in.

Reflection-  We practiced a play called how maui brought fire to the world and then at celebration assembly we showed everyone. Next time I want to talk louder so more people hear me. I enjoyed watching them acted out the play.

reflection- Maki came to our school and showed us how to make rockets out of a 1.5 bottle. We made rockets because we entered into the STEM wonder project.
