my project

WALT:Work independently on a personal interest project.

We first had to find what we were researching on and we had two weeks to do it. I did France with my friend we have 10 slides with facts and history about France here is my work.

i enjoying drawing the pictures and it was fun writing. We had a lot of time but i still need a bit more.

 

what would you research on if you did it?

EOTC surfing

 WALT:  Connect with our local environment and our improve our surfing skills so that we can surf like professionals.

We first had to find who we were going with to Taupo bay. Then when we got there we had some food. then got  the wet suits on and had a 5 min lesson on what to do when you get the wave. We  stay in the water for about 1 hour and I got 48 or 47 waves!

I enjoy surfing its really fun but the water is cold but after a few mins I got use to it.

My postcard

 WALT: recount a memory from our holiday and write a short summary for a friend.

We had to start by writing to a friend and telling them a cool part of our holidays. Then after that we had to find or make a stamp where we where. Then last we have to find a picture of where we are at the first slide.

I liked finding the picture or the first slide but it was a bit hard to find what one I want. I also enjoyed writing my letter to my friend.

blackout art

 WALT: Write a poem about climate change and use vocabulary from readers to create our poem.

we first had to circle the the words we wanted to go in our poem. then we got a black marker and made a design and colour the rest black.

reflection: i like making the design and circle the cow in the bottom right corner. it was easy at start colouring it but then i got tried.

WALT: Synthesize texts with your own prior knowledge to develop new ideas and understandings. link to my climate site!

I enjoyed making my site but needed help to put it on my blog.

mosaic art

WALT:Use 2D shapes and the polyline tool to create mosaic art on Google Drawings.

We had to get a picture to draw. When we got our picture we when to pick our line in to polyline. Then we  make random shapes in inside your picture. Then when you are done you colour it in and delete the picture. Then you have cool art.

I like making the cat but it was i bit hard to do the eyes and nose and I also enjoyed colouring all the shapes

have you ever done mosaic art?

my number line

WALT: Make connections between fractions, decimals and percentages.

our class had to first get a ruler and do a line 3 spaces apart. then when we are done that we had do fraction to percentage to decimals to 100.

here is my number line!

  

it was fun to do the decimals but it was a bit hard to rule in from 3 spaces to the end.
