week with mr A and tina

When the year six's went on camp we had Mr. A and Tina for the whole week!

Monday and Tuesday were stay at school days, we did some fishing on Wednesday we came back to school at lunch that day. On Thursday it was so fun we did golf when we finish golf we when to the park and had hot chips!!

 WALT: use graphic design skill to create a class yearbook.

We went on canva and made a year. On our yearbook we had to add 4 things the 4 things were writing all about me, pictures, highlights of 2020 and best work.

I  like making the yearbook but it got annoying when the writing was to big then to small but after that it was fine.

WALT:Work independently on a personal interest project.

We first had to find what we were researching on and we had two weeks to do it. I did France with my friend we have 10 slides with facts and history about France here is my work.

i enjoying drawing the pictures and it was fun writing. We had a lot of time but i still need a bit more.

 

what would you research on if you did it?

EOTC surfing

 WALT:  Connect with our local environment and our improve our surfing skills so that we can surf like professionals.

We first had to find who we were going with to Taupo bay. Then when we got there we had some food. then got  the wet suits on and had a 5 min lesson on what to do when you get the wave. We  stay in the water for about 1 hour and I got 48 or 47 waves!

I enjoy surfing its really fun but the water is cold but after a few mins I got use to it.

My postcard

 WALT: recount a memory from our holiday and write a short summary for a friend.

We had to start by writing to a friend and telling them a cool part of our holidays. Then after that we had to find or make a stamp where we where. Then last we have to find a picture of where we are at the first slide.

I liked finding the picture or the first slide but it was a bit hard to find what one I want. I also enjoyed writing my letter to my friend.

blackout art

 WALT: Write a poem about climate change and use vocabulary from readers to create our poem.

we first had to circle the the words we wanted to go in our poem. then we got a black marker and made a design and colour the rest black.

reflection: i like making the design and circle the cow in the bottom right corner. it was easy at start colouring it but then i got tried.
