 WALT- create a piece of art using a grid and the outline of an image. 

refection- I enjoyed colouring in the background. I found it hard to cut out my cat. It was fun doing this art

Mackenzie's Te Reo maori poem

 WALT- translate my cinquain poem into Te Reo Maori to celebrate Te Reo  o te wiki.

reflection- I found it hard to pronounce some of the words. it was fun saying my poem. 

It was interesting learning new maori words.

I found it hard to find the maori words for my poem. It was fun writing the English poem.  

Amber and Mackenzie's poetry

WALT- Record ourselves reading our poems with expression.

Use interesting vocabulary and the correct language feature in our poetry. Follow the specific structure of two types of poem. write to entertain.

 

  Reflection-  We had to record it a few times to get a good one. ( actually we had to take 1000 takes to get the perfect one) but I still enjoyed recording it with Amber. The poetry was fun to make with amber!

Mackenzie and Amber's haiku and cinquain poems

WALT-  use interesting vocabulary and the correct language feature in our poetry. follow the specific structure of two types of poem.

I like writing the poems with Amber. I found it easy to make the cinquain poems. I found it quite hard to write the haiku poems but I still enjoyed making the poems. I found it interesting writing the haiku poem because I have never write a haiku poem.

Reflection-  I like drawing our character it was really fun drawing her outfit and hair. I found it quite hard writing about what others think about her. something I can improve on is using more interesting words in my writing.

Reflection-  I enjoyed writing about all the stories but I found it a bit hard to write the facts for some of them. next time I feel like I can improve on writing more facts.
